The Background
To modernize immunization tracking at the facility level, we developed VaccTrace Lite to replace fragmented, paper-based workflows with a unified digital system. The platform streamlines the management of ITR, IR, and TCL records while integrating directly with SEIR, enabling accurate monitoring of FIC, CIC, and defaulters through reliable, real-time data.
The Challenge
Manual consolidation of immunization records made real-time monitoring difficult. Identifying defaulters, tracking Transient In and Transient Out cases, and maintaining consistency across facilities required significant administrative effort.
The solution needed to function reliably in field conditions, remain intuitive for busy healthcare workers, and securely synchronize with centralized databases.

Identifying defaulters, tracking Transient In and Transient Out cases, and maintaining consistency across facilities required significant administrative effort. The solution needed to function reliably in field conditions, remain intuitive for busy healthcare workers, and securely synchronize with centralized databases.
The Solution
ThinkBIT designed and developed VaccTrace Lite as an intuitive Android application tailored to frontline healthcare workflows. The platform digitizes immunization records, simplifies patient tagging and status identification, and enables secure SEIR integration.
Offline functionality ensures uninterrupted use in low-connectivity areas, while structured data input improves consistency and reporting accuracy across facilities.

The Insights
The VaccTrace project reinforced the importance of designing technology around real-world field conditions. Simplicity and reliability proved critical to adoption, while structured data standardization strengthened reporting consistency across facilities.
By bridging frontline healthcare workflows with centralized digital systems, VaccTrace demonstrated how thoughtfully designed mobile tools can directly support broader public health outcomes.
Simplicity drives adoption. Field healthcare workers need intuitive tools that reduce friction, not add complexity.
Offline-first capability is critical. Reliable data entry must not depend on consistent connectivity.
Data visibility improves action. Clear identification of defaulters and immunization status enables faster intervention.
